Education Business Services (EBS) is the key provider of professional business services and support for Western Australian public schools, statutory boards and divisions of the Department. These highly valued services are delivered through the areas of finance, information communication and technologies (ICT), as well as infrastructure. The Integration, Build and Deployment Directorate, within EBS, is the functional area responsible for Security Implementation, Solutions Architecture, Solutions Development and Maintenance, Testing and Assurance and Data Management in an ICT context. The Directorate has the responsibility for building, integrating and maintaining technical solutions to organisational challenges ensuring that applications, systems and products are appropriately constructed, integrated, interfaced and configured to meet business needs.
The Role
The Cloud and Infrastructure Systems Analyst's primary objective is helping the Department align its cloud and infrastructure operations with industry best practice and analysing the environment for opportunity to mature the delivery of services in a cost-effective, secure, and optimised way.
You will achieve this by analysing and translating cloud frameworks into executable guidance and delivery of cloud services, documenting and evaluating required data and information as well as developing and maintaining knowledge of cloud and infrastructure operational processes. Your role will also involve active contributions to the improvement of these processes through inputs into the development, modification and maintenance of systems, in addition to the analysis of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement leading to the design, development and implementation of new and enhanced processes to maximise quality of service and cost effectiveness.
Maintaining high level focus on customer service delivery and continuous improvement of services, while continuing to build on effective communication links and working relationships that ensure access to diverse specialist knowledge, is also an important component to be successful in this role.
