The Role
Shorehaven PS is seeking a passionate and committed Upper Primary teacher to join our vibrant teaching team and contribute to delivering a high standard of education for all students.
The successful applicant will ideally contribute to a school culture that is safe, positive, and instructionally driven, while creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of every student. Strong relational skills, particularly with upper primary students, are highly desireable, as is the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and the wider school community.
We are looking for a teacher who can display:
- A commitment to high-impact, evidence-based pedagogy and knowledge of contemporary whole-school practices suitable for any primary classroom.
- A collaborative mindset and experience working through the full teaching, learning, and assessment cycle in partnership with colleagues.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills that support the development of a positive and respectful school culture.
- Confidence in using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance both teaching and communication.
While prior experience with the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model is not required, an understanding of or willingness to engage with whole-school behaviour frameworks will be highly regarded.
